Getting to the University
Directions to the University of Birmingham are available for all modes of transport on the University’s website.
All inter-city train services to Birmingham arrive at New Street Station. At least four trains an hour leave New Street Station on the cross city line (final destination Redditch or Longbridge). The train journey from New Street takes approximately 10 minutes and the University Station is normally the second stop.
The Public Health building (Y17 on the campus map) is located approximately 2 minutes walk from the University train station and can be reached by turning left out of the train station, crossing the road and walking down the slope to the main entrance to the building. Once at the Public Health building use the buzzer on the entry system or ring extension 47831 for entry.
The nearest visitors car park to the Public Health building is the Pritchatts Road Visitors Car Park, which is located at the junction of Pritchatts Road and Vincent Drive. This is a pay and display car park and currently costs £2.00 for up to 1 hour, £3.00 for 1 – 3 hours, £4.00 for 3 – 5 hours and £6.00 for 5 – 8 hours.
